- 0.5 Tbsp Fresh Turmeric
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 0.25 cup Pineapple Core Chunks
- 1 cup Filtered Water
- 1 Lemon-Verbena Tea Bag
- 1 tsp Raw Apple-Cider Vinegar optional
- 1 Lemon Slice for garnish
- Honey to taste
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil.
Add lemongrass, ginger, and cinnamon. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in hibiscus flowers (and green tea, if using). Steep for 5 minutes.
Strain the tea into a teapot or mugs.
Stir in honey if desired, and garnish with a slice of lime.
Serve hot in the morning or chilled over ice for a refreshing afternoon drink.
Notes
For a stronger metabolism boost, increase ginger slices.
To enjoy before bed, omit green tea to keep it caffeine-free.
Add mint or chamomile for a calming variation.
